Bring Your Own Boat

Bring Your Own Boat

Non-motorized boats are allowed on all lakes, but not all lakes are easily accessed.  Pine Lake, Beaver Lake and Chickasaw Lake (in that order) have the easiest access.  Off-road driving is not permitted, even if pulling a boat to launch in the water.

A boat launch ramp is located on the north edge of Hyde Lake just off Great View Drive North*. Motorized watercraft are not permitted, but kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, sailboats and other personal watercraft (14 feet or less) are encouraged.

*Temporary and intermitent closures will take place the week of December 4 as the lot is resurfaced. Thanks for your patience!

A few reminders:

  • No swimming or wading
  • All boats, including canoes and kayaks, must be equipped with one wearable personal flotation device for each person on board.  All persons 12 years or under are required to wear a personal flotation device. According to TWRA regulations, those not following this requirement may be subject to a fine.
  • No coolers, please
