    Stroller Strides® is a total fitness program that moms can do with their babies. It includes power walking/jogging and intervals of strength and body toning exercise using exercise tubing, your stroller, and the environment. Taught by certified fitness instructors with specialty training in the pre and post natal woman, it is a great workout for any level of exerciser. All of our instructors abide by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ recommendations for exercises. Stroller Strides® instructors weave songs and activities into the routine designed to engage and entertain baby, while moms are led through a series of exercises specific to her role as mom.

    Cost: First week free, $45 per month.

  • Get Outside! Fitness: Better Body Boot Camp

    Bodyweight strength training
    This group fitness class is 60 minutes of bodyweight strength training and high impact exercises. The instructor pushes the participants by incorporating full-body exercises in addition to muscle isolation exercises. Therefore, this class is not designed for first-time exercisers. Be ready to work hard, sweat, and push through this challenging training session. Expect to come in strong and crawl out stronger!

    Classes will resume on January 12.

    This fitness class is a combination of strength training and conditioning designed to increase power, muscular endurance, cardiovascular fitness, and coordination while building muscle and burning fat. Equipment such as medicine balls, resistance bands and weight bars are used to target each participant’s ability. Come experience overall improved fitness while being coached by trainers from NBS Fitness in Memphis.

    When:  Fridays at 12pm - Classes will resume on January 12, 2018.

    BLT Fitness + Nutrition will challenge your body and mind during an intense full body workout that is designed to burn fat and build strength while helping you breakthrough your own limitations.  Every group training session is led by an experienced and certified personal trainer and is designed to be fun and high energy.  BLT created this boot camp challenge for anyone who is ready to stop making excuses and get the results they want! 

    Classes have concluded for 2017.  Tuesday classes will resume on January 9.  Saturday classes will resume on January 13.

This is a perfect class for people new to yoga, or students who want to re-connect with their fundamentals. Emphasis is placed on a strong foundation practice that you can build on for years to come.   • K-9 Academy - Welcome Home! Manners 101 for Newly Adopted Dogs

    Do you want to do your best to ensure your newly adopted or rescued fury friend is polite, happy and cooperative, both inside and outside of your home? Want to have a dog that is a pleasure to walk, take on adventures, and to introduce to new people and situations? Manners 101 for newly adopted dogs is the foundation course you need to help you and your new dog reach this goal! We use gentle, effective, training methods based on the science of how dogs learn to help you build a cooperative and lasting bond with your dog and address problem behaviors that are sometimes depicted in newly adopted or rescued pets. This class is designed for dogs adopted or rescued within the last six months.

    Are sit and stay too passé? Do you ever watch videos of dogs doing amazing and cute things (I know you do!) and wonder..."could my dog do that?" Did you know that all those tricks start from the same set of foundation skills? This class is designed to teach you and your dog the skills you need to become trick stars. In addition to foundations skills, we will learn tricks like: crawl, wave hello, spin in a circle, jump through a hoop or over a bar, fetch a specific object from a group of objects, sit pretty, weave through poles or in a figure 8 around your feet, and more! Tricks are also an excellent way to hone your own training skills and improve your dog's practical skills; after all, to your dog, everything you've taught them is a trick!

    The strength and balance class will be a 45 minute class designed for seniors and people with type 2 diabetes. Participants will work with light hand weights, resistance bands and small inflatable balls. Class will start with a brief warm-up followed by strength training and light cardio, finishing with a cool down and stretch.

    Relieve stress and increase flexibility by participating in Tai Chi classes led by a certified instructor Richard Link, a Senior Trainer at Tai Chi for Health Institute. Tai Chi is an ancient practice that is enjoyable and safe for every fitness level. The slow, meditative movements of Tai Chi increase strength, range of motion and coordination. Classes can be enjoyed either sitting or standing. Comfortable shoes and loose clothing are recommended. Please bring a personal water bottle.

Did you know that all those tricks start from the same set of foundation skills? This class is designed to teach you and your dog the skills you need to become trick stars. In addition to foundations skills, we will learn tricks like: crawl, wave hello, spin in a circle, jump through a hoop or over a bar, fetch a specific object from a group of objects, sit pretty, weave through poles or in a figure 8 around your feet, and more! Tricks are also an excellent way to hone your own training skills and improve your dog's practical skills; after all, to your dog, everything you've taught them is a trick!

In addition to foundations skills, we will learn tricks like: crawl, wave hello, spin in a circle, jump through a hoop or over a bar, fetch a specific object from a group of objects, sit pretty, weave through poles or in a figure 8 around your feet, and more! Tricks are also an excellent way to hone your own training skills and improve your dog's practical skills; after all, to your dog, everything you've taught them is a trick!

All of our instructors abide by the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists’ recommendations for exercises.
