Camps at Shelby Farms Park encourage children to connect with nature through exploration, discovery and fun! Campers will learn about habitats and wildlife, participate in outdoor activities and complete a variety of nature-related projects.

Spring Break Camp

March 11-15, 2019
Camp isn't just for summer! Spring Break Camp offers a wide variety of activities for grades 3-6 that encompass all the fun of summer! Spring Break Camp offers guided nature hikes, archery lessons, water recreation, fitness classes and environmental education sessions.

Fees and Hours
Camp Fees (8:00am-3:30pm):
$125 (Park members OR 2nd child enrolled)
$150 (non-members)

Aftercare Fees (3:30pm-5:30pm):
$25 (Park members OR 2nd child enrolled)
$50 (non-members)

Activities include:
Environmental education lessons
Nature hikes
Owl pellet dissection
Pedal boats
Nature scavenger hunt
Craft activities
Fitness classes

Camp information:
A morning and afternoon snack are provided and included in camp fees.  Lunch is NOT provided.  Please send a sack lunch with your child every day.

Vaccination records are required for each child.

Photos of your child participating in various camp activities will be emailed at the conclusion of camp.

What to bring to camp:
Wear comfortable clothes and shoes for outdoor activities and playing
Bring a reusable water bottle 
Bring a bag or small backpack for personal belongs and to take home crafts

Kids' Camp Kit - $12

Includes a Shelby Farms Park drawstring bag, color-changing water bottle and two Park stickers.  Kit will be ready for your child at the start of camp.

Nature Camp and Adventure Camp fun includes nature hikes, archery, water recreation, fitness classes and environmental education sessions that are tailored to each camp's age groups. Equestrian Camp offers several options for beginners and one session for advanced riders. 

1:7 counselor/camper ratio | 
registered nurse on duty at all times
​nutritious lunch + healthy snacks provided  | lifeguard on duty during water recreation
CPR certified counselors | camp director with teaching certification

Nature Camp Ages: 6-8  (Students who will turn 6 years old by August are eligible to enroll in Nature Camp)
Adventure Camp Ages: 9-12

Equestrian Camp offers beginner sessions and an advanced camp session for budding equestrians. 

Beginners (no experience necessary) | Ages: 8-15
Advanced (previous experience or approval by camp director required) | Ages: 10-15
