Join CoYo for a free, all-levels yoga class that will move, groove, and flow to upbeat music. Each week will feature a different sequence and peak pose. This class is great for people new to yoga or students who want to re-connect with their fundamentals. Emphasis is placed on a strong foundation practice that you can build on for years to come. Basic postures, as well as transitions, like step-throughs and chatturangas, will be covered in depth.
The annual Bike Recycle is a program that aims to serve Memphis youth through building a knowledge of and love for bike riding. For the past 10 years, this program’s goal has been to provide these youth with the knowledge and mobility to safely join the ever-growing bicycle community in Shelby County. Shelby Farms Park partners with local bike experts to provide bike safety techniques, maintenance and knowledge. Through generous community donations, we are able to transform pre-owned bikes and bike parts into newly refurbished, functional bikes to gift our youth participants and expose them to Memphis bike lanes and trails, such as our very own Shelby Farms Park Greenline.
This program is sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee and in partnership with Oasis Bike Shop, Peddler Bike Shop, Memphis Hightailers, The Bikesmith and Texas Roadhouse.
