BIKE RODEO: Bring your kids to the Bike Rodeo! As part of the 2008 Down to Earth Celebration activities at Shelby Farms Park, Peddler Bicycle Shop and Harrah's Entertainment volunteers are sponsoring a Kids' Bicycle Rodeo from 1pm-4pm. It's the same as a regular rodeo, but with sillier clowns and bikes instead of bulls. Bring your kids to test their skills at the Bike Messenger Recycle Drop-off or participate in the Slalom Course or Slow Ride. You can also see if your bike is up to par at the Bicycle Safety Check. Bring your own bike and helmet, and be part of the Earth Day Bike Rodeo!

SHOE RECYCLING:  Is your closet piling up with old sneakers? We know park people go through oodles of shoes, so if it is time to slim down your collection (or if you just want an excuse to buy those new running shoes you've been coveting) help us fill the Reuse-a-Shoe Bin at the Nike booth in our sponsor tent at the Down to Earth Celebration at Shelby Farms Park on April 20, 2008. The booth will be open from 10am-5pm. Bring us your tired, your stinky, your huddled masses of old sneakers.

FILM SCHEDULE: We'll be showing environmental films in the Visitor Center during the day.  Check out these great films:

3:00pm-4:00pm: An Inconvenient Truth
