Shelby Farms Park is an outdoor classroom and our Summer Camp offers your camper 4,500 acres of green space including paved + unpaved trails, lakes for boating and a herd of bison. Summer Camp introduces your camper to the Park by providing hands-on activities and unique experiences. Campers will grow in self-confidence while exploring nature. We have partnered with great local organizations to keep your camper moving, to promote an active lifestyle, and to encourage a love for nature.

Boating, nature hikes + lessons, crafts, disc golf, water games, Go Ape Treetop Journey and more!
FOOD
Snacks are included. Please bring a bag lunch (refrigerator available on site) and a refillable water bottle each day.
OTHER
Vaccination records are required for all children attending camp. These can be scanned and emailed to Darlon Wakefield at dwakefield@shelbyfarmspark.org
Camp Instructor is a licensed educator and is CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
Inclusive Summer Camp
Shelby Farms Park + Bodhi Learning Center are teaming up to offer an inclusive summer camp. Our inclusive summer camp welcomes all children, including those with unique abilities like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down’s Syndrome and other learning differences. A speech-language pathologist and special education assistant will be leading the camp to accommodate children with unique abilities. This inclusive learning environment allows for peer-to-peer, academic and socioemotional learning opportunities for children at all levels (e.g., gifted, learning challenges or typical). There will be lessons on nature, physical activities such as disc golf, and activities with partners such as the Dixon Gallery & Gardens.
