lost + found: 

The Lost + Found Policy and Procedures are intended to ensure that items reported lost or found at Shelby Farms Park are properly accounted for and, in the case of items found, returned to their rightful owner or disposed of by Shelby Farms Park Conservancy. Lost + Found provides for the care, restitution, sale and destruction of unclaimed, lost or abandoned property. The goal of Lost + Found is to ensure all lost items are returned to their rightful owner in a timely and efficient manner

“Lost property” means any unattended, abandoned, misplaced, or forgotten item including but not limited to equipment, cash, jewelry, phones, books, keys, documents, or personal identification papers (driver’s license, credit cards, etc.) which are found within the boundaries of the Park, pending the identification of the rightful owner or appropriate disposal thereof.

The Park assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the care and/or protection of any personal belongings left unattended on Park property and for loss, under any circumstances, including theft, vandalism, or malicious mischief of such belonging. 

The official Lost + Found for Shelby Farms Park Conservancy is located at the FIrst Horizon Foundation Visitor Center. Any found or unclaimed property turned into the Lost + Found will be kept in a secure location for up to 60 days until it is claimed.  

Submitting a lost item
Found items should be turned in to Lost + Found located at the info desk in the First Horizon Foundation Visitor Center.

Claiming a lost item
Any individual making a request for a lost item must present a picture identification and a description of the item before it will be returned to them. If the item has no identification on it but the individual can describe it or open it (i.e. phone, tablet), the item will be returned once a transfer of ownership form has been completed. Claimants must sign for items before being returned.
