Calling all lumberjacks for a fun new activity opening March 7
Last week, Shelby Farms Park Conservancy confirmed the report that two dogs died shortly after a claim that that they had visited The Outback Off-Leash Area at Shelby Farms Park. Yesterday, a veterinarian confirmed that the cause of death was heat stroke and was not related to the water in the off-leash area. Additionally, local veterinary clinics have reported no cases of toxin exposure in their clinics.

October 6 + 7 will be a very busy weekend at Shelby Farms Park -- we are expecting 10,000-15,000 visitors in the Park! Please be prepared for additional traffic, possible delays and road closures. Remember to pack your patience and to be courteous as you maneuver through traffic and parking areas!

The inaugural “MEMPHO” music festival announces GRAMMY Award™ winning artists Cage The Elephant and Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, GRAMMY-nominated Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, as well as Cold War Kids, Bishop Briggs, Robert Randolph and The Family Band, Hard Working Americans, Southern Avenue among other featured performers. A special tribute to the music of Memphis featuring legendary artists Steve Cropper & Friends and Booker T Presents: A Stax Revue and a Journey thru Soul, Blues, and R&B.

Shelby Farms Park welcomed six buffalo calves into the world this May! The babies and their mothers are healthy and full of energy.
This festival will take place Saturday, July 1 and will feature live music and family fun with a grand finale of a 60-minute Laser Light Spectacular over Hyde Lake.
Work is being done by MLG&W near the Walnut Grove bridge at the Wolf River in the Lucius Burch Natural Area. Pleaes be alert in this area.
