Foundation and Grant support is vital to what we do at Shelby Farms Park. We run on grants to fund capital improvement projects in the Park, jump start new programs and go above and beyond to serve our visitors. Because we run on donations to operate the Park, grants are a great way to help fund specific improvements that go beyond the norm of park life.
A big thank you to all these organizations who support Shelby Farms Park Conservancy through grants!
These 2016 funders allowed SFPC to clear 200 acres of invasive plants from our Lucius Burch Jr. State Natural Area, launch free fitness classes in the park, start building new trail connections to the Shelby Farms Greenline, restore old ones within the Park like the Tour de Wolf trail, convert to a more efficient database and, as always, help keep the Park clean, green and safe.
